The Duomo of Milan

The Duomo of Milan, the cathedral of Milan, is one impressive sight. It's the fifth largest cathedral in the world and wowed me in the same way St. Peter's Basilica in Rome did. It's amazing to behold.

As you can see, there are a bazillion spires.





Carvings and statues are everywhere, and they don't all have to be human to rate being on the Duomo.








Believe it or not, you can go on the roof of the Duomo. Given what we had been eating, we opted for the stairs instead of the elevator (also cheaper by €5) and headed up for an up close and personal view of the amazing stone carvings.

















You can't NOT take a jumping picture (or two) when you are on the roof of the Duomo, now can you?
