Yesterday we took a day tour to the Blue Mountains which are about an hour west of Sydney. They aren’t huge mountains, but they act as a divide between eastern and western Australia. It was a beautiful day, so we got to see everything the tour promises you’ll see if the weather is good – Wentworth Falls, Katoomba Falls, the Three Sisters –in addition to some Aboriginal sites, a temperate rainforest, and Olympic Park. Here are a few pictures from the day.
The end of the tour is a ferry ride back to Sydney, so shockingly, we took more pictures of the Opera House.
Oh yeah, there are bats in Sydney. Big ones. We saw them on Saturday at dusk as we walked back to our hotel, and yesterday, walking through the Royal Botanical Garden IN THE MIDDLE OF SYDNEY, we saw where they sleep during the day. Ugh.
Today is sunny again (YAHOO!!), so we’re off to walk from Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach and then spend the day soaking up some rays at Bondi.
