See What We See...Kiwi & Dunedin sights

This is the Maori symbol for an unfurling silver fern.  It's called a "koru" and is a symbol you'll see everywhere in New Zealand.  Vanessa made this koru out of beach rocks, and it sits just next to her garage under the stairs up to her front door.

Luna, a local cafe/bar/restaurant, has become a favorite place of Todd's.  He'll walk down for lunch and to watch American sports games in the early afternoon.

The Friday Shop is a French bakery only open on Friday mornings. It's a worthwhile stop on our walk to work.

As Vanessa and I left for work on day, we ended up behind the "walking bus" - a ton of primary school kids being led by a few parents on their walk to school.  Vanessa and I just joined the bus and then passed the bus on our walk to work.

Todd took his first stab at driving on the left yesterday under Vanessa's careful instruction.

I love the street signs...the orange triangles in the corners show you which way the road designated on that sign goes. Brilliant. Needs to happen in America.
