The Doors of Dublin

Yup, the doors of Dublin (some areas of Dublin) are unique and catch your attention.  These are no ordinary doors.  They are painted awesomely bright colors and cause tourists like me to look like an idiot taking pictures of every.single.one.

As with the stone walls, I am not the only one to remark on these doors.  While folktales say that that women used to be annoyed with their drunken husbands entering the wrong house, so they picked a bright color and painted their doors so the men wouldn't be mistaken, visit What's Behind the Doors of Dublin? for a more historically accurate (I'm guessing) on the doors.

Many of the homes (which are almost all entirely businesses now) have very intricate wrought iron boot scrapers on the stoop as well.
